Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

According to the Regulation on the Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, some requirements regarding the monitoring, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions have been imposed on some industrial institutions and organizations that emit greenhouse gases in our country. Companies that make Greenhouse Gas Monitoring and reporting are specified according to the greenhouse gas emission amounts and sectors in the Regulation. Companies must establish Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring System and, depending on this system, create a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring Plan in the format requested by the Ministry, which includes a summary of the system in general terms.

Companies that submit the Greenhouse Gas Monitoring Plan to the Ministry are obliged to monitor their Greenhouse Gas Emissions throughout the year. They should prepare their Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report by the end of January, February, March, and April of the following year. Also, this report should be approved and verified by the Greenhouse Gas validation and verification bodies.
