  • How can I get the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIA)?

  • What scope do I fall into in the EIA regulation?

  • I have an EIA opinion, but I am not a business with an Environmental Permit and License document, how can I get this document?

    According to the content of your business, you must obtain the necessary Permit and License document in accordance with the article that you are in the scope of Environmental Permit and License Regulation. If you are not in the scope, you must get the exemption certificate that specify this situation.

  • Do I have to get environmental consultancy service (Environmental Management Service)?

    If your facility is within the scope of Environmental Permit and License or is among the facilities that has to get environmental management service, you must have an environmental engineer, or get environmental consultancy service.

  • Which facilities prepare the project introduction file?

    Projects subject to the application of selection and screening criteria in Annex-2 list of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, projects that are considered out of scope in case capacity increase and/or expansion is planned, and all Projects included in the Annex-2 list with the sum of the current project capacity and capacity increases are the projects for which we prepare Project Introduction File.

  • What is Eco-Label?

    Eco-Labels cover where, when and under what conditions any product or service is produced, trying to guarantee that the products and services meet certain standards and qualifications nationally and internationally. It also covers the entire footprint (environmental and social) information throughout the life-cycle of the product, including its usage performance and even post-use disposal or reuse. Eco-labels are used to show that products bearing this label are environmentally important products and can be considered as environmental identities of companies.

  • What are Eco-Labels used for?

    The environmental label system initiated by the Ministry is a system that includes determining and developing product or service group criteria, giving and using environmental labels. 

    The product with the environmental label includes the life cycle processes, starting from the procurement of the raw material, including its production, consumption, use and disposal after completing its useful life.

    When compared with other products or services in the same product or service group, it represents a product whose negative effects on the environment have been reduced and these effects have been proven to comply with the criteria determined according to the product or service group.

    The system is based on volunteerism.

  • I am going to build a company, what are the documents I need to get within the scope of environmental legislation?

    The newly established companies have to obtain EIA during the project phase and Environmental permit and license certificate during the operation phase.

  • Which companies prepare the Dredging Environmental Management Plan?

    It is necessity to prepare the Bottom Dredging Environmental Management Plan in accordance with the format in order to evaluate the environmental suitability of the coastal structures and facilities, if necessary, before the dredging and discharge activities.

  • What is Environmental Risk Analysis?

    The possibility that the activity carried out will directly or indirectly affect human health or the environment negatively is called Environmental Risk.

    Estimating the magnitude of risk in all its activities and deciding whether the risk can be tolerated is called Risk Assessment.

    Environmental Risk Assessment is the whole of the studies carried out using appropriate qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify the environmental hazards existing in the working environment with systematic methods, to reveal the risks and to control the risks.

  • What Does a Risk Assessment Do?

    First of all, it helps us to define the hazards we face, to determine the risks that may be caused by the risk assessment processes, and to reduce the risks to acceptable levels by taking the necessary measures in accordance with the legislation.

  • What is the Green Star?

    Green Star Certificate is an environmental label application, which is given to Ministry-certified accommodation facilities on the condition that they comply with the determined criteria, where the stars in the Tourism Management Certificates are shown as green and the environmental friendly facility phrase is written on the plaques.

    The Green Star, mostly received by accommodation facilities, represents the environmental awareness level of businesses and the importance they give to the environment.

  • What is the purpose of the Green Star and who can get it?

    The "Green Star" application aims to "protect the environment, improve environmental awareness, encourage environmentally friendly construction and management features in tourist accommodation businesses".

    Facilities that have received a Tourism Operation Certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism can receive a Green Star if they meet the necessary conditions.

  • Who submits the Recovery Participation Share (known as GEKAP) Declaration?

    Those who supply (put on the market) and/or import (importers) the products/goods/materials in the Annex-1 list of the Environmental Law make the payment by submitting a Recycling Participation Share declaration.

  • What is Environmental Management of Dredging Material?

    The environmental management of dredging activities carried out in sea and coastal areas and estuaries, the beneficial use of dredging materials resulting from these activities, and the procedures and principles regarding their discharge into the marine environment in a way that will not harm the environment and human health, or their disposal are determined by ‘’the Regulation on Environmental Management of Dredging Material’’ published on 14.01.2020.
