Greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere are one of the main causes of climate change these days. It is of great importance to monitor and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Because of this approach, the term "carbon footprint" was born. The carbon footprint expresses the equivalent of the effects of greenhouse gases, in terms of carbon dioxide, resulting from the actions (product, service, etc.) performed by a business. We can examine the carbon footprint under two main headings:

1. Primary footprint: Direct CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels. Domestic energy consumption and CO2 emissions from transportation can be given as examples to this group.
2. Secondary (Indirect) Footprint: It covers the entire life cycle of the products produced, and is a measure of the emission from the production to the end of its useful life.

Institutions and organizations within the scope of the Regulation on the Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change are obliged to prepare a greenhouse gas emission monitoring plan. Organizations that are not in this scope should also work to reduce their current emissions by having a Carbon Footprint calculated for cleaner production and sustainability. Thanks to the carbon footprint study, the costs and emissions of the enterprise will decrease and the brand value will increase.

Carbon footprint calculations are carried out by the ISO 14064 standard.

Our reporting steps:

• Identifying sources: determining the greenhouse gas emission sources of the enterprise.
• Creating a database: A database is created for the detected emission sources.
• Gathering and processing the data: The emission amount of the relevant year is determined and classified according to the field of activity and source type.
• Calculation: Emission amounts are obtained by transferring all data to the database.
• Carbon Footprint Calculation: By the emission data, the carbon footprint of the enterprise is calculated using the ISO 14064 Standard.
• Improvement Studies: Emission reduction projects are developed and implemented.
