Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/Annex-1)

Ulus Engineering has been authorized by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change with the EIA Qualification Certificate. We prepare all the necessary reports within the scope of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is the process that will be carried out in the determination of the positive and negative effects of the projects on the environment, prevention of the adverse effects or minimization of them in order to minimize the harm to the environment, and the monitoring and the control of the implementation of the projects with the evaluation of the selected location and technology alternatives.

The purpose of EIA is to protect environmental values against economic policies without hindering economic and social development. In addition, it ensures that all negative environmental impacts that may be caused by the planned activity are determined in advance and necessary measures are taken.

In the Annex-1 list of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation,

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report is prepared by our company

  • for the projects that “EIA is required” decision was given,
  • for the out-of-scope projects in which capacity is increased or planned to be increased,
  • for all projects whose current project capacity, the sum of the capacity increases and new capacity of the project are at or above the threshold value in the Annex-1 list.

Natural or legal persons who planning to realize a project subject to Environmental Impact Assessment are obliged to have the EIA Application File and EIA Report prepared by the competent institutions/organizations by the Ministry. Also, they are obliged to ensure that these are submitted to the relevant authority and to comply with the commitments they have made within the scope of the project. For projects within this scope, "EIA Positive" or "EIA Negative" decisions can be made.
